Then you can always add in a product if they don't have it, but the only time I've run into something not on there was a tub of pork rinds, and they had different containers just the barcode for my tub wouldn't bring it up. They have plenty of common brands of stuff, but don't allow your home made recipes to go into the public database, they just keep it to your personal database. That was one of my biggest pet peeves with MFP was that there should not be 15 different entries for cherry tomatoes, with just regular plain ones being like 11th on the list. The curated database in Cronometer is just so much better than battling through MFP's enormous library. Plus, I'm just getting into intermittent fasting, so I don't fit the standard "meals" anyways. I really didn't like that the meals weren't split up and that my fitness/weight info was in the same "feed" as my food, but now that I'm used to it I like it better. I only use the free version, and it's as robust as I could ask for. I do this with oopsie buns and fat head dough all the time. And yes, you can use a recipe within a recipe, so you could make cheese pizza, then put that recipe in + pepperoni to make a Pepperoni Pizza recipe, instead of starting from scratch. I've used FitBit, MFP, and Cronometer, and Cronometer is by far the best! Link your Cronometer account with Samsung Health to import your activity and exercise, biometrics and sleep directly into your diary. But I am curious about the above questions. It's a pain, but I might use both side by side for the next week to see how I like it. It shows you more information, which I like. Overall how do you like Cronometer? Just from the little bit I've played around with it, I think I like it better. Right now in MFP I have just 1 meal saved that includes pepperoni and I just delete the pepperoni entry when I add the meal. So if I wanted pepperoni pizza and just cheese pizza I would need to make 2 completely separate recipes. Cronometer doesn't seem to have anything like this. This lets me add a meal, and then remove or edit individual food items without changing the stored meal. We use meals a lot because it will add each individual item to the food diary. In MFP, there are recipes and there are meals. We'd just make sure to add all recipes to my account. If I do this, would I be able to share recipes with my wife even if she doesn't have gold? We don't want to pay for 2 gold accounts. Click the Import Recipe button at the top of the screen. In the Foods tab, select the Custom Recipes tab. Just under $3 per month isn't to bad and much better than MFP's price. Upload a recipe with ingredients and instructions from a website. So if I switch to Cronometer, I was thinking of paying the yearly gold subscription. We recently included a number of recipes from Dr. That's a feature I've been wishing MFP would get for years now. We do not have a way to import recipes from outside sources - but this is a requested feature that we are working on for the future. Honestly, to me, the main draw of Cronometer is being able to add a friend so they can see your recipes. MFP locks tracking net carbs behind their paywall. MFP has categories like break, lunch, and supper but that basic feature is locked behind the paywall on Cronometer. First I'll say I wish there was service that mixed the free features from both MFP and Cronometer.
